Tutoring that makes a difference

It all began with an idea, make tutoring more affordable, more accessible and as effective as possible without breaking the bank. The goal of our program is to improve students foundation so they can master any concept in any subject. Subject specific tutoring can be a huge help when students are falling behind and need additional guidance or practice to help them master a Math or English concept. Sometimes, we see an immediate impact to the students grade and we figure problem solved, but many times that’s not the case.

After years of working with students in a mentoring capacity, and in ACT prep workshops we’ve noticed that often students may have other skills that need to be improved. Our G.A.P (Grades.Attitude.Preparation) tutoring program is just what a parent needs whose thinking ahead. Our goal is to help middle school students strengthen their foundational skills in reading, writing, math, and test taking skills, to improve their performance in high school. Two hours a week students work on foundational skills that will build confidence and help them better prepared than their peers in many areas.

Middle school is a critical time when students begin facing more complex subjects and increased academic pressure, which can lead to frustration and gaps in learning if not addressed early. Tutoring at this stage helps build strong foundational skills, boosts confidence, and sets students up for long-term academic success. Parents who invest in tutoring during these transitional years often see improved grades, stronger study habits, and a more motivated learner. It’s far easier to stay ahead than to catch up later in high school when the stakes are higher. If your child needs support, contact Project Focus today—we’re here to help your student thrive.
